The Mirage Pro Angler has all the trappings of a boat that looks like it took ten years to develop. Hobie has apparently thought of everything: You get semi-internal horizontal rod holders, along with vertical rod holders. You get a protected, collapsible Rudder. You get the patented Mirage Drive system with Turbo Fins. You get a cutting surface for live bait. You get a seat more comfortable than anything available on a kayak. You get a replaceable skid plate on the stern to assist in car topping the boat solo. You get all manner or storage compartments and outfitting specifically designed to enhance your fishing experience. And if you were wondering, you can also attach a sail kit.
The Mirage Pro Angler is a heavy boat compared to a kayak but quite light and car-top capable compared to small power boats. GOPC recommends the Yakima ShowBoat for car top carrying or a light duty trailer.
