When did you start at GOPC? 04/01/14.
What (or who!) first introduced you to the outdoors lifestyle? My parents introduced me to camping and backpacking at an early age, and I was a member of BSA starting at 11 years old.
What's been your most memorable trip/outdoors experience? I have ridden a bicycle from the east coast to west coast (Aberdeen, Maryland to Anacortes, Washington!) and have hiked the entire Camino trail in Spain.
What first brought you to GOPC and what do you love about working there? My mom actually worked at GOPC before I did back when I was in high school! After college I went to work at Chapel Hill from 2014-2018. I recently came back to Chapel Hill in November 2024 and then started working at the warehouse a few weeks ago after it flooded this summer.
What has been your most special customer moment? One time I randomly met a guitarist from the band Baroness at the 501 store. I had been a huge fan of theirs since high school and had no idea they were in town. He came into the store looking at kayaks and we had a great conversation about both music and the outdoors!
