What (or who!) first introduced you to the outdoors lifestyle? My dad! He had me hooked on fishing from pretty much as soon as I could walk!! I started fly fishing around 5 years ago and it’s taken my world by storm. I wouldn’t change a thing about it!

What has been your most memorable trip or outdoors experience? I think it has to be when I caught my 5th musky ever. Though it was my 5th musky, it was the first one I caught completely by myself, in my own boat, on a fly I tied! The way I saw it shoot out of the depths to eat my fly like a shark was just insane! The fact that I can go out and do that by myself is one of my favorite things about fly fishing and the outdoors!

What first brought you to GOPC and why do you enjoy working here? It was a great-looking outdoor store with amazing staff! One of my favorite things is definitely the community and how welcoming everyone is. It really makes me feel proud to work here!

What has been your most special customer moment? Probably when I met my now-friend Dan talking about canoes and fishing! He was looking for some accessories and wanted to talk about fishing, so we did! We’ve gone out multiple times now. He’s even taught me all about goose hunting, too!
